State Change triggered by viewing another slide?
Dec 10, 2019
Hello,
I have a list of topics on slide 1.1. Clicking on any of the topics takes you to slides 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, etc. As the user clicks each list item and views the triggered slides, I'd like to have the list items on 1.1 change state (text becomes bold) , and have a bullet (located in front of each list item on 1.1) be replaced by a checkmark.
Is it possible to do this with multiple slides, or do I have to have EVERYTHING set up as layers on ONE slide? One sorta relevant discussion in this community mentioned something about adjusting a variable to 'true', but I couldn't figure out what that means or how it worked.
Thanks,
Karen

Hi Karen
yes you can - happy to try and help if you can share the .story file so we can see the setup and work with that.
Also, here's a blog post I did a while back that goes through using true/false variables to track things. It should give you a basic understanding of what to do.

Thanks for your replies, Wendy and Tom. I ended up going through Tom's tutorial and that answered my questions. I'll definitely bookmark that video for future reference!
