State doesn't stay

Jul 09, 2018

Start with a Question slide template, then convert to freeform (because the LMS reports metrics reliably this way). Draw 4 shapes with text. Create 4 text boxes. Drop shape of text box & change state to Drop Correct .

LALALA - Song of Angels plays.

Except that when the second shape is dropped, the first pair text box reverts to its Normal state.

This is a problem because to Submit (and score), all answers must be Drop Correct.

I did this same thing last week with photos and shapes and it worked fine. This is baffling me. Please, please help.

Hi Crisa

is your drop correct state meant to be blank?

Also, you might not need all the triggers you have changing the state of the boxes to drop correct / drop incorrect if you have the form view set up with the correct matches.

Is the form view matching correct? Should there be one that has two drop targets?

Yes, because the text box changes to incorporate what is in the shape. The user drags the right words to the badly worded sentence, upon release the sentence appears properly and the shape disappears.

solved by putting a hidden rectangle over the drop target which changed to Normal when the drop target's state changed.

I renamed or deleted all triggers changing the states to Drop Correct or Drop Incorrect.

Now the appearance is fine, but it continues reporting that the question is wrong because it's incomplete. **I fixed the repeated drop target.
