States of Disarray
Jan 26, 2017
Help.
I've created a tabbed slide with three states--Normal, Selected, and Visited. Once the user clicks a tab, it changes color. And when they click the next tab, the first one changes back to its original color, but has a check mark to indicate they've already been there. But for the life of me, I can't get the states to work correctly.
I've uploaded the file. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Eric
see if the attached updated file works for you.
I removed all triggers to show selected state as when you use built in SL states - SL knows what action to take.
I also removed all duplicates of the tabs on every layer so the base layer tabs would show through and the states would change accordingly as they were selected / visited. You may need to tweak a couple of the objects on layers but I think it works how you want.
Also unchecked the option on the layer 'don't allow user to click on base layer objects'.
Anyway see how you go.
Wow, Wendy, thank you so much!
If I wanted to have only one tab light green at a time--so the others would revert to the dark green, but with a check mark once the user has left that tab--how would I do that?

Hi Eric
select the four tabs > right click > Button Set > Button set 1 - this sets up that only one tab can be in 'selected' state at any time.
Awesome! Thanks, again!
