Stop Audio from Replaying when Revisiting Slide

Mar 22, 2021

I have a course that I would like the audio on each slide to play the first time that slide is visited. If the user uses the back arrow and revisits any slide, I do not want the audio to replay. If I use a True/False variable, then it prevents future slides from showing if I use this across all slide.

Is there a way to prevent the audio from replaying if the user select a previous slide in the menu OR uses the back button? Or do I have to create a separate True/False variable for each slide?

Hey Laura,

Thanks for reaching out, and great question!

Another way to prevent the audio from replaying if the previous slide is revisited is to set the slide properties to the resume saved state setting when revisiting.

Here's a quick Peek recording on how to do that and an article with additional info!

I hope this helps, but if not, we'd be happy to look at your .story file here and explore other options!
