Stopping a slide from transitioning on its own after timeline ends

Hello,
I am learning Articulate and I am playing around with triggers. What I want to do is:
- Create an Interactive slide that has different slides branching out, and the reader can see these slides by clicking different shapes within the interactive slide.
Here is my issue:
- I want the interactive slide to not go to the next slide after the timeline on it is done. I want the reader to have to click "next" in order to move to the next slide in the series. I do not want the interactive slide to transition until the reader clicks the different shapes to the content OR clicks the "next" button to the next slide in the series. But no matter what I have done to the triggers, the slide keeps transitioning on its own.
Please let me know how I should proceed.
Thank you

Make sure your slide properties are set to Advance by User, as described here.
