Stopping a timeline on a slide

Is there a way to pause a timeline on a slide and restart it with a trigger?
In the attache example I want to have the blue button trigger the fly out of the two halves of the book shelf to reveal the pictures underneath.
I can make it happen by having a duplicate copy of the slide, and only putting the animations on slide 2. Then the trigger is just a jump to next slide trigger.
Just wondered if there was a way to do it on one slide..

Have a look at the attached file and see if that's what you want. I added a PauseLayer that is called at the beginning of the baselayer's timeline. When the blue button is clicked, the layer is closed which restarts the baselayer's timeline.
Well I'm missing something obvious here because the animations don't run and there is no reveal.
Is the reveal supposed to happen when you click the button?
Yes, I thought you wanted the reveal to happen when the blue button is clicked. If I misunderstood, then when should the reveal happen instead?
