Stopping slides in a scene from automatically playing

Please see attached .story.
In this storyline the learner chooses different careers from a menu which leads to the slide of the career the learner selected. The problem is when I've tested this out in the scene it will automatically go to the next slide which is something I DON'T want to happen. I've tried renaming all the layers of the slides, I've tried playing with the different states (automatic, initial, saved), and I've tried adding a pause function to a rectangle off the stage. I really need to get this working properly so if you could please let me know what I did wrong I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I think I've figured this one out.
Hi Diane
have you looked at the slide properties to see if it is set to advance automatically or by user
Click the cog wheel and then select slide advances by user in the first option.
Hi, Diane -- I see that you may have sorted this out on your own, but can you please let us know for sure whenever you have a moment? We're here if you still need assistance! :)
I just accidentally had a "play next slide" when "timeline ends" it's fine now.
Many thanks for the update, Diane, and I am glad you got it sorted out!
