Hello - I've created a rather large training on my c: drive and published it using the Web. When I zip the file and move it to a central location users are not able to play the file. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I've tried reposting as a LMS and that didn't work either.
Where have you placed the published content as a central location? You'll want to place it within a web server as playing it locally could cause the issues you're experiencing. If you're in need of a web server option you may want to look into the following options:
Tempshare: This is a free service provided by Articulate for testing Storyline content. Note: Uploaded files will be deleted after 10 days.
Amazon S3: Amazon S3 offers free hosting with generous usage limits. If you go over your limit, you'll be charged a graduated fee.
Dropbox: Place your published output in the Public folder in your Dropbox account to share it with others.
Google Drive: Change the story.html file to index.html, and set the sharing permissions to Public. Here's how.
If you're going to need to place within an LMS, you'll want to publish for LMS as described here and then upload the files to your LMS.
What if the storyline project is published to a CD, would there still be a need for a web sever? or once published, it can be run on any PC without a server or internet connection!
Thank you Ashley. We were able to get the training to finally play once the reviewers downloaded the file off the FTP site to their local drive. My next steps will be to load it to a LMS with SCORM so I will review the instructions you have added above.

Hi Abir,
Nope - if you're going to publish for CD you'll be able to play locally and you'll want to follow the tutorial here on how to publish for CD.

Thank you so much for helping me with this.
Sounds good Katie and please feel free to keep us posted!
