Hi, I've created a short storyline piece that I want to be able to open offline on the tablet. I've tried publishing it for LMS, WEB, CD etc. ported it over from my PC to the tablet and it still doesn't want to open the file. Any ideas?
Hm...I only have an iPad, but I don't know if tablets allow you to open individual exe or html files, so it won't store natively. I think you'd have to host it on the web and access it from your tablet.
Maybe there's an app that let's you test web projects and you could store/open individual files with it? Are you more or less trying to make an app for your tablet?
Hi Matthew, Thanks for your quick reply. Basically I want to use the tablets in a classroom setting with about 15 people. The Storyline piece is a short interactive activity. The idea is to have them do the activity without needing to connect to the internet.
Hi Mike I had exactly the same issue with my ASUS Transformer tablet and I ended up using a usb drive. This was after I had downloaded Chrome and Dolphin to try and replicate the browser, as flash is already installed. I have not given up yet and have some other ideas, anyway hope that helps? Maybe worth putting in a request for a revised mobile app for Android not to self! Chat54
I had the same issue: trying to open the story.html file wouldn't work on my Asus Android Tablet. This issue was solved by downloading "SWF Player - Flash Fileviewer". Once installed, the story.html file will load into your default Android browser and properly display the local Storyline files stored on the tablet for offline viewing.
We ended up resolving our issue by updating the firmware of the tablets and then installing a Flash workaround for them. These articles may be helpful:

Are you using iPads? If so you could use the Articulate App.
Here's the page on using the app. Scroll down to the section on using it without an internet connection.

Thaks.

The SWF player was more of a 'band-aid' solution.
Cheers,
Martin.
