Hello, I've been told in Engage (which I don't have) you could create a kind of time line, i.e. you could move through a process and read more about a point.
Is there any way of replicationg this in Storyline?
There is a demo for an Engage timeline interaction here, if you haven't seen one already. I'm not sure if there's an example floating around for a comparable interaction in Storyline, but you could certainly create a similar effect using layers, markers, object, etc.
HI, I've been playing around. i've had a look at the apple one which iis really good. It ssems there is only triggers on the base layer..
I have done this but when i play the slides I can click on my picture and it takes me to the correct layer. But i can't click on another picture to go to the next layer.
Looking at the apple example the triggers don't seem to be duplicated per layer but this seems to be the only way i can do it. What am I doing wrong?
Peter, your video doesn't play after 1.30. I have tried it on a couple of computers. i will try it on the ipad to check.
it was only a practice one, someone else was doing the realthing and they have done as i would, But thanks for the offer. I just couldn't work out how it had been done on the Apple example.
I have only had storyline for a week so it has been a bit head first!
If you are looking for something a little more 'templated' to help you out when you start you could use the Process interaction that's available from Top Interactions (New Slide > Templates > Top Interactions). It would only take minimal editing and repositioning to convert the numbered buttons to look like timeline steps and maybe put a continual bar behind them to create a linked up look.

Hi Michelle,
Can you share your .STORY file here so we can take a look at what you have so far? Maybe we can give you some suggestions.

Hello Toni!
I took a look at the file Phil shared and it looks like it is from Storyline 1, which is the oldest version of Storyline.
Not sure if the link just didn't work for you, so I've re-attached here.
