Story size causing problems

Jan 07, 2014

We've been using a different story size for our projects as it seems to look better when published.

Unfortunately though it has been throwing up problems with sizing, rollovers, slide masters etc.

After several of our developers replicated these errors and we spoke to some people through email we realised this was because we changed the story size.

I'm wondering if there are any possible work arounds for this (other than using the standard size) and if not when a fix was going to be released?

Hi Thomas and welcome to Heroes!

Were you emailing with our Support team regarding this? If so, do you have a case number to share so that I could follow up on or if you'd like to email back to the Support@articulate.com email they would also be able to let you know any new information.

If you were not talking with our Support team, could you offer a bit more information about what you're describing? From the sounds of it, you're changing the story size after you've already laid out slide elements, and those elements aren't sized correctly according to the new size? I would think that is expected behavior, similar to how if you were importing a Storyline project of a different size elements may need to be adjusted.

Hi Ashley!

Unfortunately it was another developer that has been emailing and from what we can gather they were advised that the problem had been duplicated and not change the story size for now.

I've tried myself and if I create a new project and then change the size before I put in any content the we can duplicate the problem.

If we put a rollover onto a shape we have problems with the states formatting that we can't change or even see until we preview/publish.

A few of our guys here have the same problem and we're just wondering if anyone can come up with a work around for now (as we have a few large projects that unfortunately we can't revert the story size on).

Thanks
