Hello Gina!

Did you happen to have branching slides in this scene at one time? If you did and you deleted some slides, it looks like the remaining slides did not adjust to a larger thumbnail. Try hovering your mouse over the right edge of the thumbnail panel until the mouse becomes a double black arrow, and click and drag the edge like I did here. Does that help?

I have been a bit busy, thank you for getting back to me. I see your screen shot. However, what I am speaking of are the small scenes on the left panel. They are hard to see and was hoping to expand them a bit.

Is that possible?

Well, this leads me back to Alyssa's first comment about branching because if the course has branching with both vertical and horizontal paths in the StoryView, this would be the default behavior. If you start a new project and add a few slides, does it look as you expect? If you'd like us to take a look at your .story file, please feel free to attach here so that we can be sure.
