I have tried to publish my .story file multiple times. It starts of fine and displays the progress bar indicating it is building each slide. But it never displays the "Success" dialog and the output folder is incomplete (the "Temp" folder is still present. I have built other .story files with no issues. Is my file corrupted?
I am facing a deadline so I would appreciate any assistance.
Can you confirm that you are working locally, rather than on a network or USB drive? If so, I'd start by running through these incremental steps to try and get this resolved. If nothing in the article seems to do the trick, we'd be happy to take a closer look at it. Let us know...
I did the basic repair you suggested but there was no change. I tried republishing the course for LMS (SCORM) with the HTML 5 output option turned OFF and it did publish. That doesn't really help though as one of the reasons our client wanted us to use SL was because of the HTML 5 support.
I am working locally but I am using a Mac running a VM of Windows 7 in Parallels. I have not had this problem before.
Sorry for the trouble, Randall. If you'd like, we'd be happy to take a closer look at it. Please submit a case, including your .story file, using this link and our support team will be happy to assist you further.
Thanks for submitting your case. I see Jonathan is working with you to get this resolved and was able to publish your course without issue. If you're still experiencing issues, I'd encourage you to let Jonathan know so he can get this resolved for you. Thanks for your patience!
Thanks for your help. I ended up publishing the course to the virtual c drive's root and that seemed to do the trick. It was frustrating though because I still have courses that WILL publish to one of the Shared Drives in Parallels.
