Storyboarding: What are others doing?

We've graduated from Studio to Storyline, and I'm getting to grips with it. Our old workflow (which worked quite well) involved letting the SME author directly in PPT, which I'd then edit and tidy-up before publishing to LMS. We'd then return the ppt for another round of edits and republishing, and so on. For interactive slides we just put the text of the engage/quizmaker in the slide notes.

What are people doing re: Storyline to allow non-experts to have editing access to the content? Publishing to Word is a non-starter, as this just creates a series of uneditable images in a word doc. It'd be a great future enhancement to have a 'publish to storyboard' option...
