Storyine error on slide 2 of all tests viewed on iPad

Jan 24, 2019

Hello,

I'm trying to get several tests done for a client by the end of the week, but they are meant to be used on iPad and, while they work just fine on the desktop, they get hung up on the second slide every time when viewed on iPad. We've tried publishing it with HTML5 only, HTML5 with Flash backup and AMP, HTML5 with Flash backup but no AMP, and HTML5 with no Flash or AMP. All of them have the glitch on the second slide, and most had other issues. The third configuration (HTML5 with Flash backup but no AMP) had the fewest issues overall, but still gets the glitch on the second slide.

At first the glitch would just show a white screen and we couldn't move past that. Our latest publish (still HTML5 with Flash backup and no AMP) shows the attached error message instead of the white screen. When we click OK on the first screenshot's error message, it gives us the second error message and if we click the checkbox for “Prevent the page from creating additional dialogs” and click OK, it does let us proceed.

The client's users won't know to click through in that way, so it would be great if we could get rid of the error messages altogether and ensure the white screen doesn't show up for anyone else. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Ken,

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know what you are seeing in your course.

Do you experience a similar error if you upload the course to SCORM Cloud or is this issue limited to your LMS?

With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

Thanks Leslie. I sent the SL file and the SCORM to the private uploading
link you gave me. We haven't tested it through SCORM Cloud yet. I don't
personally have an iPad to test it on and I work remotely, so I've been
relying on the client to test on iPad. I asked them to test via SCORM
Cloud, but they haven't done so yet.

If you all have the ability/time to test on SCORM Cloud on an iPad, that
would be great. Or any information you can give me to fix this issue would
be much appreciated.

Thanks!
