I'm thinking about upgrading to Storyline 2 ... but am currently working on a project in Storyline 1 for a client that may not support the new version. Can I keep version 1 on my computer, and use that for some projects, while using Storyline 2 for others?
To get round that problem, I open a new SL1 first, then go to open and locate the file you started. If you do open the file in SL2 it will save a back copy of the file in SL1.
Thanks. Another quick question ... am I able to purchase version 2 as an upgrade license if I'm planning on running them both on the same computer? Or does the upgrade overwrite the version that I am currently using?

Yes, both version will live side by side BUT all your Story files will open with SL2 by default and it looks like you can't change this.
Without going into the registry, that is ("open with" and going into SL1 folder won't work)
Hi Marge
To get round that problem, I open a new SL1 first, then go to open and locate the file you started. If you do open the file in SL2 it will save a back copy of the file in SL1.
Hope that helps.

Hi Marge,
Yes. The upgrade does ot overwrite your SL 1. So you can run both.
