Storyline 2 Audio Editor - Feature Request - Add Cue Points

Jan 15, 2016

As other community members have mentioned, we have recently run into the preview functionality issue as well.

The biggest impact has been on the ability of our designers to sync audio to animations.

As a feature request, would it be possible to add cue point functionality to the Storyline 2 audio editor?

That way, if for some reason designer/developers are unable to preview, they can still open the audio in Storyline and add timeline cue points in the audio editor that appear on the timeline. Then they will be able to sync their animations easily without previewing the product.

For some reason, I though this was already possible, but unfortunately it isn't.

I also though that there might be a workaround using embedded metadata markers from Adobe Audition (or other audio editing software) but the markers do not appear in Storyline.

The audio editor change seems very feasible and would be extremely useful if the preview issue appears again. Despite the preview issue, it would certainly make audio syncing much more rapid.

Thank you for your time!

Thank you, Christie. That is much appreciated!

I also suggested that they may want to consider allowing Storyline to read metadata markers that have been added to audio files in audio editing software (such as Adobe Audition). Then when the user imports the audio and places it on the timeline, they could right-click the audio and choose to convert metadata markers to cue points.
