Storyline 2. Audio stops instead of pauses when published as SCORM

Hi there

I have a course that contains audio clips on slide layers and base layers where the user has to click on a custom sound icon to listen to the audio. Some slides have more than one sound icon on a slide.

 

I created the following two triggers for these icons:

1.Play media when user clicks icon.

2.Pause media when user clicks outside the icon.

So in effect, when clicking outside the icon, the  audio will pause and when clicking on the icon again, the media will resume where it last stopped.  This works perfectly fine when publishing for web. The moment it is published to SCORM, the audio does not pause, but stops instead. So when clicking on the icon again after clicking outside it, the audio clip starts playing from the beginning.

Any idea on how I can fix this? Some of the clips are rather long. I am trying to avoid the frustration for the user of having to listen through all of it again just to get to the point where the audio last paused.
