I have created an elearning with a resources tab that connects to a URL. After the user has accessed the information on the url the elearning does not return to the course screen but returns to the launch screen to start the course again. We are using Success Factors LMS>
Is there any way to have the resource player open a new browser each time the resources tab is opened
It works great outside the LMS. It is only when it is on the success factors lms that it does not work. LMS admin says that we need to have it open the url in a new browser.
The resource link is either opening in the same browser tab, a new tab, or a new browser window. Can you tell which? My test opened in a new browser tab. Which browser are you testing in?
When adding resources to the course player, there isn't an option to determine if it opens in a new tab/window or the existing one. So that'll be up to the LMS and/or browser to determine how links are opened. I suspect your LMS admin was referring to a new browser tab/window - not a new browser entirely. Often that's an option if you "right-click" and choose "new tab".

Stanley, does this work correctly outside of the LMS? Can you share a sample slide of your project that has the resource link on it?

Is the resource opening in a new browser tab currently?
It accesses the web page that is listed in the resources but it doesn't return when to where the course left off when the web page is closed
