Storyline 2 cutting off part of my project

Jun 04, 2017

Anyone seen this issue before? I am using the latest version of SL2 and when I publish, there are about 20 pixels on the right that are being cut off. Image of issue and Storyline file attached.

Hi guys, quick update - I've fiddled around with this and whilst it's now showing the right parts of my project - the slides are jumping around to different locations within the project area. It's REALLY weird - it looks fine in the SL project.

Has anyone seen this before?

Just watch the first 3 slides of this course and you'll see exactly what I mean...

Big thanks to Storyline whizz Nejc for helping me with this... but we're both stumped now.

Hi Ant,

Same on my end - everything is advancing as expected and nothing is cut off. I viewed it in the latest version of Chrome for Mac with HTML5. For the part that you're seeing cut off - have you tried resizing the browser window?

What browser are you viewing it in? Storyline 2 supports Chrome and Safari for HTML5.

Hi Ant,

Thanks for that video! I see it move but only on that second screen to the third? I tried it on a few others and didn't see the move at all on those ones.

I saw it in Chrome and Firefox with HTML5. I didn't see anything else off in your file either - are you seeing this on a number of courses or just this one?

Hi Ant,

If you'd like us to dig into the file a bit deeper our Support Engineers are at the ready and I can open the case for you. Based on what I looked at, I didn't see anything that could be causing it - but I also wanted to know more about if it's just this course or if you're able to see it on any other courses?

Have you tried some of the standard troubleshooting like importing into a new .story file as well?

Hey Gina.  I'm sorry that you didn't get the help you needed.

For Ant's project, Cleo opened and saved a new project to his C: drive.  He then imported Ant's slides into the new project and replicated the player.

It seems that importing the slides into a new project resolved any corruption that might have occurred in the original version.

I hope that gives you a little more direction.
