I am new to Storyline 2 and I would like to ask if this case can be fixed?
I want learners to control the pace of learning so they can use the video controls bar to: adjust timing and adjust volume. However, when the storyline file is published, the download button appear.
I read through this discussion forum and find a similar solution is to remove the video controls bar and add the seekbar in this slide so learner can still adjust timing. However, learner can no longer adjust volume anymore which it is not what I want.
You'll see a download arrow on the right end of the video control bar in Google Chrome.
If you don't want learners to download videos from your courses, you'll need to disable the video controls in Storyline or Studio before publishing. (If you've enabled the seekbar for your course, learners will still be able to pause, fast forward, and rewind videos.)
Since you want learners to be able to adjust the volume, try enabling the volume control button in the player.

Hi Jason,
Could you clarify what you mean by "However, when the storyline file is published, the download button appear."
What download button are you referring to?
Thank you for your reply Veronica, please find the capture attached.
Hi Lun!
Google Chrome versions 55 and later let you download videos from published courses when these conditions are true:

Ah, thanks Alyssa, I did not know that :)
Thank yuo very much Alyssa for the detailed explanation! This is truly helpful!
I think I will disable the video controls and enable seekbar on that slide then.
I will try to enable volume control button in the player next step!
Happy to help, Lun! Best of luck on the rest of your project. :)
