I converted a SL1 file to SL2 today and published the sl2 file without editing it, but when I came to test the .html file I found that I had to click the player buttons twice to get the module to respond. I tried clicking once and waiting for the page to respond/load but nothing happened for 5 mins until I clicked again.
Are you referring to the next buttons? Do you have the courses set to restricted navigation? If this is the case, the restricted navigation has changed with Storyline 2. It now affects the menu as well as the player buttons.
If you are using the built in buttons, they will not be able to jump ahead until the timeline ends. You can shorten the timeline, or you could use custom buttons if you need to use the restricted navigation. You could also check out this thread that shares a workaround.

Hello Harri!

oh yeah that seems to have fixed it.
So how to I stop people from jumping forwards in the course using the menu and avoid this double click issue?
Hi Harri,
If you are using the built in buttons, they will not be able to jump ahead until the timeline ends. You can shorten the timeline, or you could use custom buttons if you need to use the restricted navigation. You could also check out this thread that shares a workaround.
ok, thank you for explaining, it's not something I'd noticed previously
Glad to help Harri.
