Storyline 2: .FLV files showing black background

Nov 05, 2014

I recently upgraded to Storyline 2.  We have a subscription with eLearning Brothers and I added a .flv file to my project.  However, when  preview or publish the video displays a black background.  This was not the case in Storyline 1.  Can someone please advise on how to correct this or can it be corrected.

I have attached sample.

Hi Omar,

I do see the black background on the slide itself - not just when previewing, so it's hard to tell that the file is transparent normally. With that being said, I do see an issue reported to our QA team that FLV files with alpha transparency don't work as expected in SL2 as they did in SL1. The current workaround is to insert any FLV movie with transparency in SL1 and import the slide into your SL2 project to retain the FLV transparency.

Ashley,

Is there a timeline on a solution to this? This played a huge role in our training material and would love to get it back on stream urgently. We continue to use Storyline 1 for these items though we have also purchased Storyline two.
