The title pretty much sums it up. Suddenly (last few days) whenever I try to close a file or exit Storyline it freezes and I have to use Task Manager to kill the Storyline process.
I'm sorry to hear about the behavior you've run into. Since it just started happening I'd look first to confirm that you're working with local project files and then go through the repair steps detailed here.
we have the same problem as Jim. We're working with local Project files and we went through the repair steps you recommended, but we're still facing this problem. Do you have any other Solutions we can try?

If you already did the repair steps linked above, can you also confirm yu're on the latest update of Storyline2, update 7? If so, and you're still having difficulty I think it would work best to continue working with our Support engineers here.

for your Information: after we could solve the Problem. We tried your recommended steps, but it doesn't worked. So I contacted your technical Support. After a lot of different steps it still didn't work. Then we tried your steps again (clean up the registry, deinstalled articulate and reinstalled it) and after that it worked. Sometimes you have to do some steps twice until it works again ;-)

Found this thread and have the same problem. Running latest update 8 SL2. I cleaned up the registry and re-installed but problem persists. Have to use Task Manager to exit SL after it freezes, all other systems are running fine. I wonder if there are any more suggestions?
I haven't seen other recent reports of this - does Storyline just freeze up? Have you tried running it without anything else running on your system to see if it's an overall memory issue? You may also want to connect with our Support Engineers here to have them take a deeper look at what's happening.
