I have a query regarding inserting a video (in either flash or MP4 file format) into my e-learning course. I used to be able to do this fine in Storyline 1, but now I get a black or white background when I do it in Storyline 2, which I can't get rid of!
If anyone could shed some light on this that would be excellent!
I just upgraded to Storyline 2 and have the same problem with both my .flv and .mp4 files. They are the same files that work just fine (transparent background) but now I can't get rid of the background using Storyline 2.
Thank you, Emily! All is working fine now. I upgraded to Storyline2, then imported a backed up .story where all my media (.png & .flv) was still intact. Storyline 2 pulled everything in OK.

I have not heard of this issue before. I just tested a video file in Storyline 2 and did not get any background.
You could try going into Edit Video and using the crop function.

Please make sure you are working locally as described here. You could also share a video file here for me to test in Storyline 2.
