Storyline 2 - Internet drop out problem

Hi,
I have a Storyline 2 project with 25 multichoice quiz questions. There is a problem described below that occurs when the internet connection drops out.
- Enter any question page and select an option.
- Press the ‘Submit’ button.
- If your computer happens to lose internet connection at this precise point (when pressing 'Submit' button) you are unable to 'Submit' the same option you chose in step 1 once the internet connection comes back - you have to select an alternative option to enable the ‘Submit’ button to work.
Could anybody assist with this problem please?
Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy,
I haven't heard of that behavior before and I'd want to know if you're viewing this in an LMS or in a web server? When the learner has internet again, does it show the previously selected answer as still selected or it's as if the slide is reset? What happens if they choose another answer, then choose the previous answer again? If you're uploading to an LMA, have you looked at your LMS reporting to see if that answer is submitted? I know we have an article on how to warn learners if they've lost their connection, so that may help - but I'd also want to see if you could test your course at another web server (some options linked in this article) or SCORM Cloud, a free industry standard for testing LMS content. Can you let us know if you're able to test there and still have issues?
Hi Ashley,
Thanks for your reply. Please find further information below.
Many thanks,
Andy
Hi Andy,
I don't know of a way to force the browser to close, so the only option I've seen is that article about letting a user know they lost their internet connection. What occurs if they refresh the page using the browser button? If they don't change their answer can they click submit or is it just stuck overall?
Hi Ashley,
If they refresh the browser they are returned to the start of the module. (This is the correct functionality, the customer didn't want to resume where you left off).
Thanks,
Andy
Hi Andy,
That makes sense, and with that in mind I'd have to defer to your LMS at this point if the method on how to let users know they lost their connection doesn't work. You may want to let your customer know that in regards to allowing the user or forcing them to resume where they left off.
