I'm experiencing an issue when i preview (and publish).
My pages appear smaller within the storyline player. If i add in a player navigation button it resizes again and fits the player. However I'm using my own navigation so I don't want buttons on the player.
My story size is 1010 x 650.
I have attached screenshots to show you and i can share the .story file if needed.
Hi Sarah! Just popped in to check on your case and it looks like Jonathan was able to re-set your player and things are working again. Be sure to reach out via your case if you have subsequent issues or questions.
The reply would have come via e-mail from support@articulate.com in case you are not seeing it and I would be sure to check your Junk/Spam folders.
To close the loop on this. Support have investigated and the issue was caused by the Player being corrupt - not sure the cause of that. but to fix the steps are:
To reset the Player, follow the steps below:
1) Click HOME > Player
2) Click Current Player > Reset
3) Remove unwanted parts of the Player like Resources and the Menu in the left, Volume, etc.
4) Apply the necessary colors in the Player again
5) Click OK
After doing this, publish your project again and view in your default browser.
Hi there, This is still an issue. I figured out that it occurs when a new scene is added. And your service desk investigated and agreed with my findings. I've had a service desk call outstanding for months now. And no communication to users has been forthcoming. This is a large issue, forcing developers to use player controls. Some of us don't want to do this. Will you let customers know? and let us know when this will be fixed please!.
Note: I've changed companies so please contact me via my Hotmail email - which should be linked to my account
Hi, Sarah -- Thanks so much for touching base, and I just looked in on the QA ticket and saw the following was recently noted:
"This is expected behavior. The player size will be large enough to accommodate all player features used in the course, even if those features are only used on a single slide. For example, the player size will be the same throughout the entire course. It won't change size from slide to slide based on player features enabled on those slides. Please see the following for reference:
Thanks for getting in touch,. This was never expected behaviour in SL1. and after a lot of communication to the support team. They agreed it to be an issue and not standard function.
If for example in one scene I use NO player navigation or controls at all ( I use my own back and next etc)- then the slides appear smaller within the player frame. That cannot be standard function surely?!
Apologies if I'm missing something - but this looks to be an issue.
Hi, Sarah -- Thanks so much for your reply, and apologies that I do not have additional information or suggestions to share at this time, but perhaps if you would be able to upload your file, your fellow community members may have other ideas to assist.

To add to this - this appears to affect courses that were originally created in SL1 and upgraded to SL2
Really need some help here! I've raised a service ticket :(
Hi Sarah!
Thanks for letting us know that you've reached out to support (00777409). Looks like you should be hearing from someone soon.
I will follow along as well.

Hi Leslie,
Thank you for your reply and sounds like good news, however I'm not able to locate an e,ail from support - i've checked my spam/junk.
Can you please ask them to re-send? Be good to understand what the issue was, and how it was corrected so i know for the future.
Many thanks, Sarah
