I upgraded to Storyline 2 and came across the following issue with player, it looks messy and I didn't have the issue in Storyline 1. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?
I'm sure you've already done this, but just run through the player options and make sure that nothing weird is selected, as well as possibly check and make sure you don't have a return or something in the player title.
Additionally, if you start a new SL2 project from scratch does the header look right? I'm assuming that this one is a project you started in SL1...
The Storyline 1 project I converted to Storyline 2 before this one had the same problem, I reverted back to Storyline 1 and removed the extra white space then converted it back to Storyline 2 and it worked fine.
But I've tried that same process on this project and it hasn't worked.
I was wondering if anyone knew a way around this as I don't really want to start a new project, this piece of e-Learning has 90+ slides.
I'm sorry to hear about the difficulty you're having with the player header text and the extra spacing. I've tried to replicate this in a new file - but can't see the same behavior. Can you confirm that you're working locally as described here for both your SL1 and SL2 files? Also have you tried importing it into a new file as detailed here?
I'm having the same issue as well - but the left and right margins;
Both slides were originally SL1 slides that I converted to SL2 - yet one has an issue - this issue is replicated throughout most of the slides that I have opened up in SL2 - is there any way to correct this???
So the overall slide size looks to be changing in your images - unless the slide background is matching that of your player? Do you have a sample file we could take a look at in terms of how there is extra padding added to the sides when upgrading a file into SL2?

Have you tried previewing or publishing to see if the depth of the header is still the same?
Yes, published then previewed and still have the same layout.

Hi Brian,
Thank you for your response.
Yea I have tried that.
I know the white space in the title is the cause.

You can attach it here using the paper clip icon.
