Storyline 2: Print Results not loading in Internet Explorer

Nov 10, 2016

Hi.  I've published a  Storyline 2 course on our LMS and need users to be able to access their quiz as a transcript.  I've enabled the 'Allow User To Print Results'  option in the Results slide to do this.   If the LMS is accessed via Chrome or Mozilla the results transcript appears, but not in Internet Explorer (I use IE 11).  Most of the users have IE as their default.

This has worked correctly in the past.  I'm wondering if this is a browser issue or if there's anything I can do in the course creation in Storyline to fix this?

Many thanks in advance

Hi Kirsty.  The only reason from this article about Print Results not working properly that sounds like it might apply would be the pop-up blocker window.  How far are you getting with it- for example, if you've enabled the prompt for your learners' names, are you able to type in the name?  What happens after that?  Does your LMS allow other windows to be opened within the course?

You're welcome to share your .story file here for us to help test out!

Hi Crystal, thanks for your response!  A window opens to enter the name, and then another window opens (which would usually show the transcript) but stays blank.  In Chrome or Mozilla, the new window populates with the full data.  I don't think its a Storyline issue, as it doesn't work in other browsers, but was wondering if anyone had any tips to help with IE.
