Storyline 2 Results slide print option is blank

Sep 17, 2015

Hello,  I have looked at several discussions but have not seen anything about my concern.   I created a Storyline 2 project that has a combination of blank basic layout and graded quizzing slides.   I have published this to Web... using IE 10.

When I select the print button on the results slide, the option to add the name comes up, select OK and nothing happens.   A big blank screen appears....

I cannot figure out what is wrong.... the quiz scores correctly.  All of the questions appear in the results slide properties.

Any suggestions would be so appreciated.

Hi Chris,

Where are you testing your published output? Are you looking at it within the locally published output files or have you uploaded to a server or LMS? You'll want to ensure you're testing in the intended environment as described here testing it locally could cause you to encounter security restrictions.

Hi Inbal,

Did you review the information I previously shared with Chris about where to test the published output? If you're testing it locally that could be why you're experiencing some odd/undesired behavior - so you'll want to upload to your web server or LMS to test.

If you are testing there, I think we'd want to know a bit more about the browser and where you're hosting the course and also take a look at your .story file to see any other things that could be contributing and do some testing ourselves. You can share it here using the "Add attachment" button.

Hi Mitch,

Which version of Storyline are you using? Storyline 360 changed how the report.html file worked, and therefore the "hack" here to allow you to edit the printable results is something that no longer works as it previously did. If you are still using Storyline 2 and it's not working - do you know what browser you were viewing the content in? I'd expect it to be blank locally based on security restrictions previously mentioned - but if you're viewing the Flash or HTML5 supported browser I'd expect it to be working normally.

Thanks for reaching out, Mike.

You're right, seems we didn't hear back from users to reach a solid conclusion.

Searching the forums turns up with much more of the same.

Since you published to the web, could you upload the content to Tempshare to see if it works as expected there? This will help pinpoint if it's the course or your web server.
