Storyline 2 Screencasts get Out of Sync with Audio

I've created my first project.  And though  I Save frequently and have locked all objects on each screen, it seems that when I return the next day that the audio/visual is out of whack a bit.  Today I'm adding transparent boxes, easy stuff.  Why does this happen?

Hi, Stacy, and congrats on having created your first project! :)

Could you double check a few things for me to rule out the causes of some common errors? Please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline. Also, could you please ensure that you are utilizing the most recent SL2 Update? Info on Update 5 can be found here

Hi Christie,

I am working locally on a laptop with an external terabyte drive.  I seem to be finding workarounds to make things stick.  Tomorrow will be a new day to see if anything has shifted.  I am making backups of everything!

Meanwhile, I'm perplexed by how time is displayed and wonder if you could shed some light.  In this image I have the video editor open in order to trim some more off the end to align with the audio.  I keep fiddling with it until I get it right, but wonder why the seconds dont't match up.  Video is currently trimmed to 1:52:240.  Audio stops at 105 seconds, which is not 1 minute 7 seconds.  The beginning is poroperly aligned.  Odd, isn't it?

Hi, Stacy - I am happy to hear you are finding workarounds, and are making backups in case things don't stick - smart move!
