Storyline 2 Seekbar Options

Hello -

I am working on a course that only has narration on some slides and would love to be able to:

1. Have the seekbar start and end with just the narration and not the other objects/animations on the slide.

2. Leave the seekbar on the slides without narration but not have the timeline position move with objects/animations on the slide.

Based on my knowledge of the application and research the above is not possible but thought I would reach out incase I am overlooking anything. My current workaround is to create custom audio controls but using the built in seekbar would save me a lot of time.

Hi Emily,

This is fairly interpretive, but I'll give it my best shot.

1. You can drag the End bar on the timeline to match the length of your audio on the timeline.

2. You can toggle the seekbar in the Cog icon of the Base Layer properties under "Custom for the selected slides". If you want it NOT to control your object contents you can move all objects into a new layer which you should trigger"show layer" at start. Just make sure the new layer does not have "pause timeline of base layer" selected
