I'm trying to build a realistic software simulation. When the learner enters the correct text entry, I want the learner to be taken to the next slide - not the correct layer. I cannot figure out how to do this. Can anyone help? Thanks!
Thank you! I will definitely try that. It is the craziest thing...now I can't even get the incorrect feedback layer to show when the text entry is incorrect:( But it would be awesome if your trick worked - I'll let you know!
Although adding a shape off-screen that changed to visited if the text entry was correct worked and does advance the learner to the next slide, the previous button no longer works on text entry slides. The menu is restricted as requested by the client. I've tried all states for the slide when revisited (initial state, automatically decide, saved state) and I also added a variable to the previous button to go to the previous slide once the current slide is complete. Any ideas on how to make the previous button work on text entry slides? Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Hi Katie - try this
Add a shape offstage with a visited state.
Trigger the shape to change to visited when variable changes (text entry) on condition that text entry is equal to (correct entry).
Add trigger jump to slide next slide when state of offstage shape is equal to visited.
hope that works for you

Thank you....I just edited my reply.

Could you hide the previous button until needed and add a trigger for when the user clicks?
It's hard to say without seeing what you are working with :)
Can you upload the story file Katie
