Sorry to bother everyone. I don't remember seeing Storyline 3 offered. Has it been available for some time now? Is it part of 360 or can you purchase it separately?
I see that SL3 includes the same type of auto-reformatting for tablets and phones as does SL360. Is there a way to turn this OFF? I have courses that run on tablets and already assume the standard (old-style) screen format. I can't use SL3 if it automatically redesigns my tablet screens. (I don't care about phones.)
I got an email Introducing Storyline 3 out for sale today. One question though... does the new mobile player support sharepoint, where it requires learners to login to view content?
The new responsive player is HTML5 output - so it'll play within the browser on your mobile device, and these are the browsers we support for Storyline 3.
As for the Articulate Mobile player, that's still around as an option and something you'd need to have an LMS with Tin Can API enabled and you'd likely only need to use it over the HTML5 content if you were using something like FLV videos (which aren't supported in HTML5).
Storyline 3 has been released? Is there an upgrade path for us Storyline 2 users? When I click check for upgrades, I get "There are no updates available at this time."
Also, can I install Storyline 3 concurrent with Storyline 2?
I think it's based on what you purchased when you bought SL2 - there are different package paths that give you different upgrade options. You would be best to discuss with Articulate sales.
Wendy is on target that Storyline 3 is a separate installation and license from Storyline 2 (just as Storyline 2 was from Storyline 1). As for the pricing, there are existing loyalty discounts for current customers, or if you had purchased a Platinum membership plan there is an upgrade that you could have purchased ahead of time. Our Success team will be happy to discuss with you!
It seems to me that there has been very little fanfare around SL3's release. I just happened to be on the boards yesterday looking for information, and saw it in a post...

Hi Dave
SL 3 is a new install of SL not an upgrade to SL2. Yes you can have SL2 and SL3 on the same machine as long as you have licenses for both.
So I have to purchase a separate license for SL 3? My understanding was that SL 2 users would have an upgrade path.

Thanks for your input Wendy,
I'm hoping the Articulate folks will way in here.

Thanks Ashley,
I'll pass that on to our IT team and ask them to see what we need to do.
