Could you solve the problem? I have the same problem. My slide measures 902x507 px, I have put a gif of 1200x1800 px (and I resized it, "I cut" to 273x428 px) and still a small purple border can be seen.
You need to create the gif at the size you are importing it at, it has to be 100% size. Or transparencies and such will be over half a pixel (which isnt possible).
This example has the same gif copied 3 times at different sizes, noticed the ones scaled down lose quality and jagged edges, is this what you are experencing?
We just released the newest version of Storyline 3, Update 7 this morning! This release includes a fix for the issue where a transparent animated gif had purple outlines.
The next step is to update Storyline 3 by downloading the latest update here.

Hi Nuno,
Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry you're seeing this problem in HTML5.
I've done a quick test with a GIF file in Storyline 3, and I'm not seeing a purple border in HTML5 on my end.
Would you mind sharing your GIF file with me? I'd like to give it a test. Thanks!
It seems to happen when we resize (shrink or enlarge) GIFs.
I'm sorry but at the moment I can't share anything because they are related to specific clients and we have an NDA.
Thanks.
Hi Nuno,
You could also share it with our Support team privately and they'll be happy to take a look and sign an NDA if needed.

Lo he hecho y el problema persiste.

I feel it is still how the gif is being exported.
Hi Miguel,
I just replied to a similar conversation here.
As mentioned above, the issue was corrected in the latest release for Storyline 360 and will be included in the next update of Storyline 3.
I'll attach this conversation as well.
