Storyline 3 in Microsoft Edge and Windows new update

Published course - HTML5 with flash fallback and AMP. SCORM 2004, 3rd Edition. I have tested course in Google Chrome and IE with no issues.

Testing course using Microsoft Edge (SCROM Cloud) and when completing slide 14 clicked the next button and received an error message:  Error – unable to acquire LMS API, content may not play properly and results may not be recorded. Press OK to view debug information. The Debug log states: API not found.

I'm sorry for the trouble you're experiencing! Thanks for letting us know you ran into this problem while testing on SCORM Cloud. 

Would you mind sharing the original project file and the SCORM Cloud invite link with our team by clicking here? We'll test it in Edge and let you know what we find. 

Is there any possibility that Microsoft will correct this error? Luckily, republishing using the updated version of Storyline 360 corrects this error without having to go through and remove all of the text shadows, but it will still be a significant effort to have to republish our full library.

I haven't heard that Microsoft plans any changes based on this, but luckily that fix is in Storyline 3 and Storyline 360. Republishing with the latest update of each will ensure your content plays as you'd expect. 

I have a different problem than those described here ....using Windows 10, Edge & SL3. The course works fine but the test (built within the course) does not complete. I've attached the zip file of the course. Please let me know what other details you need to assist. Many thanks.

It would be helpful to take a look at your .story file so that we can set your settings and what you've included as far as the completion and tracking items. What you shared here appears to be the published output. 

Also, I saw the error message you seeing mentions "Unable to acquire LMS API" - that error message is one you'll want to reach out to your LMS team about. 

Thanks, Ashley - I appreciate your response. We have determined the issue lies within our LMS not being compatible with the latest version of Edge. The courses work fine when using IE11 or Chrome.

Some folks here mentioned rolling back to previous versions of Storyline 3, so I wanted to let you know that we released Update 4 today. You can view all of the the features and fixes here, and download the latest update of Storyline 3 here.

It looks like some of you were experiencing similar issues – please have a try with the latest update and let us know how you make out! We'll be standing by!

Did some testing in the lastest update and now have everything working great in IE 11 and Chrome. Thanks!

I want to open my published project in new browser window and full screen. I have done player setting but its not showing desired output.

• What version of Storyline are you using?
• What do your browser and player settings look like in the player properties window?
• Lastly, once your course is hosted (either on the web or in an LMS), what browsers are you testing?
