Sorry to hear about your difficulties with the published course. I would suggest you try out the course by uploading it to cloud.scorm.com and testing it on another browser or PC. There are also a few times where the tab on the browser you are using is muted for the site.

What version of Storyline are you using? You can find this detail by clicking on the Help tab, then About Storyline.
Are you working from and saving to a local C: drive? Using network and shared drives can result in similar issues, so I like to rule this out as the culprit.
Did you publish the course for Web, LMS, or something else?
With your permission, I'd like to test your .story file in a similar environment to try to replicate the issue. If that works for you, here's where you can share the file privately with me. I'll let you know what I find, and will delete it after troubleshooting.
