I wonder if the new player for articulate storyline 3, runs javascript in the offline mode. In the previous versions (storyline 1 and 2) it was not possible to run javascript in offline mode - is it still a problem?
JavaScript isn't supported in the Articulate Mobile Player app, which is the player which would allow for offline viewing. (For a full comparison of the different players, see this article.)
As Matthew said you'll want to use the HTML5 output if you need to run Javascript.
I have a problem since I upgraded to Storyline 3 yesterday. Javascript to automatically number slides within scenes worked fine in Storyline 2, but now when I view on the server in HTML5 the variables dont work.. Does anyone know how to solve this?
The script is= %vCurrentSldNum% of %vScneSldeCnt% and I use it on my slide master.
Based on some of the changes we made to Storyline 3 and Storyline 360's player, some of the custom Javascript folks had set up specific to player elements no longer work.
It's something we've shared with our team, and we're looking at ways to allow for increased flexibility on that in the future. In the meantime, you'll want to look at our Javascript best practices and examples here.

Hi Ashley,
Functions described by Jelle are very useful for debug, I'll hope Articulate team will insert these functions soon!
Thank you!
