storyline 3: scorm interaction tracking (scorm2004)

May 03, 2019

I've just noticed something odd with scorm interaction  tracking. For each attempt at a question, it tracks that question with a new id (appended with _1_0 for the first attempt, _2_0 for the second attempt, etc). Is this expected behaviour?

I ask as it's not a recommended practice in scorm to use different ids for the same question.

For example, you can see from the scorm log below that a question gets an id of 'Scene6_Slide2_MultiResponse_1_0' for the first attempt and then  'Scene6_Slide2_MultiResponse_2_0' for the second attempt.

Hi there, Karen. Those numbers at the end of Scene#_Slide#_Type _X_Y represent the quiz attempts (X) and the question attempts (Y).

Given the above info, if you're seeing something that doesn't look right, please let me know! We may have you run an LMS debug log to compare what Storyline is sending with what your LMS is showing.
