I downloaded Update 5 (August 2018) for SL 3 but it doesn't seem to be saving the update. When I open the software the next day, it wants me to download the update again. I have had our IT department install the update twice now, and this will be the 3rd time. Suggestions?
Hi there, Susan! Yeesh, that's a bit annoying. Open Storyline, ignore the update message, and go to Help > About Storyline. What update is listed in that window?
Also, when IT does the install, are they downloading the new storyline-3.exe file directly from our site?
When I click Help > About Storyline, it shows update 4: 3.4.15731.0. Yes, they are downloading right from your site. After the update, when re-opening Storyline, it tells me my free trial is ending and I need to activate with my serial number, which I do.
Sorry, you've had such trouble installing the latest update. I'd look at removing all prior versions of the storyline-3.exe file to make sure the latest one is being installed, and if you're still seeing the odd behavior, let's have you work one on one with our Support Team!
