Storyline 3: Which quiz data is available for feedback page at the end of elearning module?

Oct 10, 2019

Hi fellow heroes,

I'd like to build a feedback page at the end of my elearning module. Therefore I would be happy to be able to give learners the feedback:

  • For quiz 1 you took 52 seconds, that is 13 seconds above average [data taken from moodle] and you needed 5 tries to solve this quiz. You are awesome!
  • For quiz 2 you took 152 seconds, that is 13 seconds better than average [data taken from moodle] and you needed 2 tries to solve this quiz. You are ultra awesome!
  1.  Is there a list of data I can pull out of quizzes into variables?
  2. Is it possible to pull data from moodle into learning package?

I read through the learning pages here, but couldn't find any hints to the answers of these two questions. Hope you can help!

Greetings

Thorsten

I found this article about JavaScript usage: https://articulate.com/de-DE/support/article/Storyline-3-JavaScript-Best-Practices-and-Examples

I understand a bit about coding, but not enough to be able to use java script in Articulate, therefore I would be happy to have a step by step guide where to put the .js file and how to connect it to my .scorm package and so on. Is there already an article about this?

I know it is getting funny, but why didn't you add "How to use JavaScript" into the interactivity section?  (https://community.articulate.com/series/107/articles/articulate-storyline-360-tutorial-how-to-add-interactivity-with-states-layers-triggers)

Here is a video that shows a good step by step tutorial to be able to do the first little steps by yourself:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KWBvdY-GEw ( Articulate Storyline 2: Using JavaScript)

Works in Storyline 3 as well.

After watching this you know where to put the js code snippets in articulate.

Step 2: Getting a toolbox of code snippets to use

Step 3: (For me) How to get data out of moodle.

Hope my heroes journey helps you, too.
