Storyline 360
Dec 20, 2018
Hi, I am building a randomizing quiz where I need to limit the Quiz Attempts to 3. I read an article that told me to create a Variable and then a Trigger to use the Variable. I did this, however, when I play the course, it let's me attempt the quiz unlimited times. Can you please advise how I fix this? Below is a screen shot of the Slide Triggers.
Thanks!

Hi Darci!
Based on the screenshot you shared, it looks like you are missing a trigger to add a value of 1 each time the learner clicks the Retry button. Check out the steps in this article, and let me know if that solves it!
Hey Alyssa,
Please check out this Storyline Project, which is configured with a trigger to add value to a variable, and a trigger to disable the retry button when that variable reaches a certain value, but is not functioning correctly and allowing unlimited attempts.
@Jessica Try moving the trigger on the retry button that adds one to your attempts variable above the trigger to jump to slide 1.1. I think you're jumping slides before the adjust variable slide is firing.
That did the trick! Thank you!
