As described in the user guide here, the Modern Player was intentionally designed to have neutral tones of the dark and light themes allow your content to be the focus of learners’ attention while the player performs a supporting role in the background.
In the same article, navigation buttons are covered and can be adjusted in a few ways:
By default, navigation buttons display only icons—i.e., arrows for previous and next buttons and check marks for submit buttons. If you prefer, you can switch to text instead, or both icons and text. (Navigation buttons will always be icons on smartphones due to the limited screen space.)
Logos can also be adjusted in the Modern Player, but if you need additional customization options, I recommend using the Classic Player or even creating your own custom navigation.
