Storyline 360 - HTML export photograph alt text issue
Jan 23, 2017
So I am sure someone has come across this issue, but I can't find a fix.
Basically, today we discovered that for whatever reason, ALT text on photographs in the HTML5 version of a course are not visible to a screenreader.
Tried various different image types, but when I tab to the image object I get silence.
In the FLASH version, ALT text on photographs DOES work correctly, however given the serious bug relating to tabbing orders when returning to a previously visited page, a FLASH version is not a viable option.
Does anyone have a fix for making ALT text work for the HTML5 version?

Hi there Raf!
Storyline 360 work with JAWS 16 and later. Can you verify you were using a supported browser listed here?
This is an issue I've seen brought up in the forums before, so it would be very helpful if you could share your file with our Support Engineers so they can try and replicate the behavior you're seeing. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
I did the testing using IE11.
Can't share the files due to client IP agreements, but I can probably create something random that has the same issue.
Thanks,
Thanks for coming back with an update. You're more than welcome to create a sample file to send to the Support Engineers, or they are happy to sign an NDA if you'd like to send them the original.
