Storyline 360 Slide Notes to closed captions

Dec 01, 2020

Can you automatically convert text from the slide Note tab to a closed caption? Or do you have to copy/paste to the Closed Captions Editor individually?

My favorite way is to allow Text to Speech to generate the closed captions for me. You can find more information on Text to speech in this quick video here that one of our trainers created:  https://classdemos.s3.amazonaws.com/1_Peek/Peek_Demo.mp4

Once created, I then replace the text to speech audio with my voice, or from an audio track you have on your machine. The CC is tied to the audio track, so you don't want to delete the audio, that's why you have to replace the audio. You can do that from the Audio Tools options tab.

You may have to tweak the timing a bit if the real voice is paced faster/slower than the Text to Speech voice, but overall, it works like a charm!

I hope that helps!
