Recorded an application. Everything went swimmingly. The SMEs wanted one more section. I recorded it. Did everything the same. When it's in the screen where I'm about to add the recording t a scene, it looks fine. I add the recording to a scene...and it suddenly has a white border, meaning I both lose visual real estate, and, more importantly, it doesn't match the rest of the bleeding WBT.

By the looks of your screenshots, my hunch is that you recorded the second recording with smaller dimensions than the slide size. Here's how to check:
