Thanks Phil - what I'm looking at doing is accessing the entered data fields within the Moodle LMS Database activity via Storyline 360 so I can produce a visually more appealing layout of the data within the SCORM package; must be possible, just never tried it before...
No, they will be input to the Moodle database activity as input fields of various format, and then we would want to selectively access that data via Storyline and then display them on various slides depending on what option the user chooses within the SCORM output
YOu can use something like Firebase to store data, I have never stored anything in a Moodle database not even sure it is accessible from within the scorm
Cool, thanks Phil...much appreciate the feedback; at this stage we have limited data so it might just be best to screenshot the data as reformatted images or just hardcore it in to prevent any future IO issues...thanks once more

Long time since I played with Moodle, but you should get an interaction report but it is dependent on how you track the course

Are the data entry fields assigned to a results slide?
No, they will be input to the Moodle database activity as input fields of various format, and then we would want to selectively access that data via Storyline and then display them on various slides depending on what option the user chooses within the SCORM output
when I say various format, it could be text, images, links etc....
The only way to transfer data to Moodle would be as a question type which needs to be assigned to the results slide you use for tracking
...so there's no way that Storyline could access an external file's data to your knowledge?

You could read it in from a Google Spreadsheet, since GDPR though I am avoiding that
