I have created my elearning and a 3 question quiz to go with it. However, I can seem to link the two together. How do I make the learner take the quiz after view the scene?
I'm not sure I understand your question - did you create the Quiz within Storyline? If so, you'll want to add a trigger to the end of the particular scene/slide to Jump to the quiz slides/scene so that your users will be directed to take the quiz questions. Also, if you'll need to track their answers you'll want to add in a Results slide as well. If you created your quiz within Quizmaker, you can also import that into Storyline following the directions here (it is not yet supported for Quizmaker 13 but that will be a part of a future update for Storyline).
I have created the quiz in Storyline and it shows under the Scenes section under Question Banks. When I go to the trigger at the end of a slide and go to select the quiz it doesn't appear in the window as an option. Any idea?
You'll want to set up the trigger as follows -> Jump to scene, Scene # where the Question lives -> when the user clicks -> the next button (presumably).
If you don't see the Scene listed that the question bank is inside, I'd suggest that you first check that you're:
Working on your local drive (your C: drive).Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, includingfile corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
You should also make sure the directory pathto your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters(for example C:\Articulate).
Avoid using special characters, accents orsymbols in your file names.
If you're still experiencing difficulty after following those steps, can you share the .story file with me here? If you'd prefer to share it privately you can also send it along here.
I'm in a similar place as Mark was. I have my content developed in Articulate Storyline and then have a Question Bank set up.
I wonder, using my Project as an example, could you help me link it all up so that it works?
I think this process could prove quite valuable.
I'm in a research mode at the moment so there is not much time pressure, but my boss has asked me to put AS through the paces to assess if it might work as a development application at our university.
It's 1100 Sydney, Australia time, and if you could respond that would be most helpful.
I'm happy for you to contact me through my email address which is attached to my account.
Hi Ashely: thanks for this post. I am having similar problem described by Doug. I have created a storyline with 3 scenes. After scene 1, I want the end user to take a quiz. I have created the quiz and I see it, but when I select a trigger to jump to that quiz, I see all the slides except the quiz slides. The file is on a C drive and the file name is under 260 characters and there are not special characters or accents. There are a few understrikes (4-25-18) for the date. I am not sure why I cannot see my Quiz except when I am editing it. Would you mind helping me out. I can email the file to you.
Doug: did you ever figure out what was wrong and why you could not work with the quiz/test after a certain scene? it sounds like we are having similar problems (I am currently having).
I'd be happy to help - and this discussion is quite a bit older, so I'm not sure if Dog is even still subscribed!
Did you set your quiz up in a Question bank? If so, you'd need to add a slide draw for that to be a section to jump to. If you want to let me know what version of Storyline you're using I can link you to the right tutorial.
If you still need to share your file, you can upload here in ELH so that myself and others in the community can take a gander, or you can always send it to our Support team privately here.
I'm in the same position as the other users. I have a quiz created in storyline quizbank. I'm not able to apply a trigger to the end of the module to jump to the quiz. How do I add a slide draw? I need to play the module then link to the quiz at the end? Hope this makes sense. I appreciate any suggestions. Regards Johanne.

Next, I'd suggest importing this Storyline file into a new project and see if you're able to select the correct scene then, and if not then I'd conduct a repair of Storyline.
If you're still experiencing difficulty after following those steps, can you share the .story file with me here? If you'd prefer to share it privately you can also send it along here.

Hi Samantha,
I think I have sussed it out. I have created a draw, I just need to fix the results slide now.
thanks Johanne.
Hi Johanne,
Thanks for popping back in with an update.
Do you need some assistance with your results slide? Feel free to share your .story file if you'd like us to take a look.
Thanks Leslie. I've managed to build in the results slide and I'm now happy with that module. I'm building 8 modules so I'm sure I will be in touch.
Sounds good Johanne :) You know where to find us!
