Storyline and Cornerstone Issues with Video

I have a course developed in Storyline 2 and launched through Cornerstone that has a slide with a YouTube video imported as a web object and also displays the URL in case clicking the play button does not work for some learners (for some people the play button does not show and we cannot determine why). The URL is set to open in a new window. Sporadically, and we cannot find any pattern, when some learners click the URL, the video opens in a new window, however, the course launch screen closes and the learner has to relaunch in the course in the LMS. I cannot replicate the issue, but several of the client's learners have experienced this. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, how did you fix it? Thanks in advance!

Hey Katie - When you cannot replicate, it is certainly difficult to diagnose.
Can the same users replicate the issues consistently or is it sporadic for them as well? Curious if they could replicate in SCORM Cloud as that would assist in understanding if the issue is within the course or the LMS.
Is there a consistent browser/environment across those users that you are aware of?
If this rings a bell for anyone in the forums, hopefully they will chime in!
We recently converted over to Cornerstone as our LMS platform. We were previously a HealthStream customer. We did not have issues with our video format but we are experiencing issues through internet explorer. Can you help?

What is the issue you are experiencing with your Storyline 360 video content in Internet Explorer?
You mention that you did not have an issue in another environment, so I'm curious if it may be specific to your LMS. Are you able to replicate the behavior in SCORM Cloud?

Actually, it was a feature of Cornerstone. We had IE 8 compatibility turned on for this product erroneously.
