I'm interested in learning about how others store their story and zipped files. Are you storing on SharePoint or a network drive? If you use the checkout/in process on SP and make changes, the changes are not reflected in the file, so it seems you have to upload the file each time. I'm just wondering if there are any other issues with saving these files on SharePoint vs. a network drive.
Wherever you save your backups, we'd always suggest editing the files while on your local drive. Doing otherwise is one of the most common causes of corruption in a Storyline file.
Thanks! Yes, I'm aware of all that info on best practices and corruption. I'm trying to find out if there's any pros or cons to saving to SharePoint vs. a network drive or if there are no differences. Thanks!
I store my current backup on the network, and my weekly sequential backups on OneDrive. (As you can tell, if both my current and backup file go bad, I'm willing to lose a week's worth of work.)
